We welcome referrals for a broad range of haematological issues including:
• Investigation of anaemia, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia
• Investigation of polycythaemia, leukocytosis and thrombocytosis
• Disorders of iron
• Lymphomas
• Leukaemias and myelodysplastic syndromes
• Myeloma and paraproteinaemias
• Myeloproliferative disorders
• Clotting and bleeding disorders
• Red cell disorders such as haemoglobinopathies
• Obstetric haematology
HOW TO REFER
A referral may be addressed to any of our haematologists via letter or by using the attached PDF referral form. Unless a preferred physician is specified, your patient will be seen by the next available physician or on the patient’s preferred day.
A current referral is necessary for patients to claim Medicare rebate. A specialist referral will last 3 months whereas a GP referral will last 12 months.

Non-urgent queries can be directed via email and we will endeavour to respond within 48 hours.
URGENT REFERRALS
Patients with emergent issues should be directed to the nearest emergency department for review.
If an urgent outpatient review is required, please send a referral marked “urgent” and speak with our administrative staff. Our team will facilitate urgent review within 1-2 weeks depending on the urgency.
